Uninvited Silence

In a bright summer afternoon,
when a gusty wind blows my window,
I establish my connection with outer world.
Standing besides the opened window,

I can hear a confusion of sounds,
the loud talks,
quarreling in neighborhood,
an engine letting go off steam,
the cries of playing children,
free laughter of beautiful girls,
the rumble of a passing lorry,
the buzzing of bees,
and the strident call of the crows.

Amidst all this noise,
a silence starts creeping into my soul
unsought and uninvited .

  1. Amidst all this noise,
a silence starts creeping into my soul
    unsought and uninvited .

After reading ………..these lines are creating, really, a world of silence in my soul which is untoched often.
What I need to say that u sud stretch this poetry upto 1 more para. I think u hav smthing more to say to complete this poem. ATB 🙂

  2. the silence may be unvited, but bro your creations are always invited. Keep churning the mind, and let those thoughts flowing forever like in this poem of yours.. 🙂

  3. Reading this poem…I could experience silence. Infact, from start to finish, each line devoted my undivided attention, it wasn’t intentional, but spontaneous…
